Sushi Zanmai, 1 Utama

For Japanese food lovers in KL or used to live in KL, Zanmai is a popular name amongst them. One of the name under Super Dining Corp, Zanmai is making up fame rapidly among Klang Valley. Selling sushi, sashimi and authentic japanese food, this chain restaurant located at various hotspots all around KL and Selangor. Well since I've been to this one located at 1 Utama Shopping Centre not less than 5 times, I shall introduce some of my favourite food.

Enjoy!

1. Zanmai

2. Offer of the month, Soft Shell Crab Maki with Avocado. The mixture of the crab with rice is just perfect, and the refreshing avocado and the crunchy deep-fried lotus are compliments to the dish.

3. Peas, came with generous portion.

4. Chicken Karage Don. Stir-fry chicken with onions on top of rice. Taste like sweet and sour pork (咕噜肉).

5. Yasai Tempura. Tradisional japanese vegetable fritters. Here you will get sweet potato, mushrooms, lady finger, brinjal and green pepper. Tempura sauce will come together.

6. Ebi Don. Ebi tempura (prawn fritters) with rice. The prawn is very fresh and you'll get at least 3 in a bowl. Generous eh? ^^

7. Unatama Don. Eels grilled in tradisional Japanese style with an egg covering the rice. The eel just covered 3/4 of the bowl!!

8. Chiken Kare (Curry). Fried chicken cutlet with Japanese curry gravy. Yum Yum!

Basically, this is the place where one can get CHEAP, DELICIOUS and SATISFYING Japanese meal in Malaysia. Try it and you will never regret, haha.

Small advice, try to avoid lunch and dinner time as there will be a long queue awaits you.

Penang - Wantan Mee (McAllister Road)

Talking about wantan mee (dumpling noodle), the stall that you can't miss out for sure is this. In the kopitiam sitting right on the junction between Lorong Selamat and McAllister Road, one will enjoy eating this delicacies while relaxing in the retro shop.

The dried Wantan Mee looks none the less the same as from other stalls, except that it's served using a bowl instead of plate. The gravy is rich and aromatic and not too salty. The dumplings are cooked to perfection as the meat (sorry for Muslim friends, it is non-Halal) and prawns, yes PRAWNS melt in your mouth. The char siew is also roasted perfectly and the sweetness is a great compliment to the gravy.

One can try out with their Wantan Mee soup too as it will also not let you down.

Behold, the only chain fast food restaurant to sell pork burger, yes, PORK!!!
This little shop located at LG-Level of Tropicana City Mall provides us with different choice of burger, at least different from those normal burgers in Malaysia.

Ninja Joe, the cute little ninja is easy to remember.

The burger, a piece of well prepared meat patties with a slice of fresh tomato and lettuce, sandwich together with soft bun.

Fries and Jasmine Tea.

One can select 1 Ninja, 2Ninjas, 3 Ninjas or 6 Ninjas (the number represents number of burger) with different flavour: original, teriyaki, black pepper, sweet and sour, spicy and oriental. There are also Big Boss Set and some appetizers and drinks.

You can also add-on money for an extra fries and Jasmine Tea (written Green Tea on the menu)/lemonade.

Personal thought:
- the size is small (fits perfectly in my palm), for most people it might be not enough if you eat just one.
- the patties are well cooked and soft, the familiar taste filled up your mouth once you bite on it.
- The difference between those flavours are just the difference of the sauce used. It will be better to apply those sauces while cooking the patties.

Personal reccomendation:
Original and Teriyaki burger.

My long awaited holiday

yes, SLEEP!!!

Recently there are so many problems
especially problems arise from those stupxx doctors
all these on a long long 'problems to be solved' list
that's why for me
this holiday came at the right time

Still
these 3 days were fully scheduled
enjoyed most of them of course
in the end
I don't have enough sleep again......

Its such a long time since my last post. What I can say is times flies, and it never come back, just like the water in this photo...

What happen to me in this few months? You will never know, as I also never have any idea apart of work, on calls, and photography (seldom)... Some happy things, sad cases, moody days did happened to spice up my life, apart from that, boring.....

Manage to get some rest today and tomorrow, after working 19 out of 20 days... Am I gonna be a zombie sooner or later? Who knows... XD

I will try my best to write new post here, and upload more photos, which I hope u will like them.

The 1st day of Year 2010, since my parents were here, we decided to go to Melacca for a day trip. The streets there was damn crowded as soon as we went past the tol station.

The famous chicken rice near the entrance of Jonker Street was full with customers, with a queue of more than 10 meters outside of it. We decided to find the shop with shorter queue, which means a not so tasty ones.

Its a month now since I start working.

Worklife, its actually quite tiresome.... Although I am still motivated by the salary XD. Time flies during work, causing me don't have much time to do things that I want. Less time for photography, tired to go out and have fun.

Luckily during this month, there were 3 b'day parties for me to attend. Hang outs with my good old friends will always be nice and these parties recharged me up for further challenges.

Since this is just an outing with classmates during 6th Form, I just ordered tea (their signature drinks which took half of their menu's total pages to finish listing them all..)

Back To Those Years... Exterior

My granma's house, which she n granpa took over from our great grandparents, located in a village in Penang. Its a typical village house with all the zincs, irons, boards...

Today I will be doing a special blog dedicated to this house, this particular house which kept memories of us growing up as a child.

Window of the bedroom.. Still remember that me, my sister and my cousins used to love jumping up and down on our granma's bed.. Basketball game, high jump, table tennis, congkak, football, all of these sports were done in this small room... For sure we got cane after some of these sports, haha..

The view of the house.. Used to play games (跳飞机) in front of the door... Its also the place where my mum, aunts and granma grill Kuih Kapit (although now the venue has changed to my house)

The God of Sky....

The little path behind the kitchen, the toilet (or so called jamban) is at the end of this path. (Luckily the toilet had been renovated into a modern toilet bowl type rather than the pot type which feces has to be collected once a while [which means the feces will accumulate in the pot until the pot is full]... yucks....)

The potteries beside the little path.. Most of them are antiques, don't know how much do these worth, hehehe... (Previously this place was a well, which is the main water supply)

The hall which keep the ancestors' tablets.

Not far away in the future, this house will has the same fate with others in the village - demolished. Thus I hope that all of us will treasure the time and memories we had in this house. ^^

Angels of Our World

Kids are considered as angels of our world by most of the people. No matter how evil an adult is, he/she will always smile when they saw kids especially their own ones. Kids can bring out the kind nature of humans as they are kind, cute, and most importantly their mind is not 'contaminated' by the surroundings (people and environment).

I used the boy babysitted by my aunt as my model today. He is really a cute guy with a very innocent mind. I took the photos at my granny's house.

Last night there was a gathering among biomed coursemates in Penang, at Xuan Xin Restaurant. Its such a long time (since convo) that I had actually met them so this dinner was quite nice. Have a lot of fun there, haha. For those coursemates who are not in Penang, don't envy ok? wahaha!!
